The serpentine belt is a continuous single belt that drives several devices in your engine, such as the power steering pump, water pump, air conditioning compressor and alternator. If this belt breaks, all of these systems will be shutdown and your vehicle will be overheated. A regular inspection and probable serpentine belt replacement from a Mr. Lube technician will allow all of these vital systems keep your vehicle on the road.

A sign that indicates the serpentine belt may require replacing is an unusual noise or screech from the engine section caused by a frayed, worn or split out belt. Mr. Lube Technicians visually check the serpentine belt for splitting, fraying, glazing (the working frame of the belt becomes glossy from age and wear) or any other damage. If required, your Mr. Lube technicians will take away the old serpentine belt and install a brand new one.
